Update SPILL straight from this page — no drivers, no extra software. Works in Chrome, Edge and Opera on a desktop computer.

  1. Connect USB. Take SPILL out of the case (or power the rack down) and plug a micro-USB data cable into the Daisy Seed on the back of the module. USB powers the module during the update — the screen and audio stay off.
  2. Enter update mode. Press RESET on the Daisy Seed, then press BOOT within two seconds. The Seed's LED pulses slowly while SPILL waits in update mode.
  3. Connect. Click Connect on the right and choose Daisy Bootloader in the browser dialog.
  4. Install. Click Install v1.0.6 and leave the cable in until SPILL restarts. The installed version is shown on the boot screen.

A failed or interrupted update cannot harm SPILL — the bootloader itself is never overwritten. Simply re-enter update mode and flash again. If no device shows up in the browser dialog, make sure your USB cable carries data (not just power) and that the LED is pulsing. Questions? Get in touch.
